Royal Forest of Steam Gala - Friday/Saturday Evening Explorer Ticket
On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th June 2019, hop aboard our 1948 Hawksworth Saloon for a unique trip along the entire 4.25 miles of the Dean Forest Railway, all the way from the Network Rail boundary to Parkend headshunt. These are lines that are not normally used for passenger services, so this is an exclusive opportunity and we expect tickets to sell fast!
Narrated by local historian Ian Pope, the journey will be a comprehensive tour of the Dean Forest Railway that is very rarely available, so don't miss out.
Your ticket will include catering, as well as the opportunity to disembark from the train at each end of the line. It will be hauled by visiting locomotive, BR(W) 'Large Prairie' no. 5199.
