The Royal Forester Evening Dining Train
Enjoy a nostalgic evening tour behind one of our vintage steam locomotives (or our visiting diesel locomotive on Saturday 14th September) whilst tucking into a delicious pie, supplied freshly cooked by the Ugly Duckling restaurant in Lydney, with a either mashed or new potatoes followed by a choice of desserts. A full onboard bar will be available.
Choose between our standard takeaway style service, or our full silver service (complete with a first class inspection saloon trip with tea/coffee, mints and a digestif after your meal, or a welcome drink before your meal, depending on the time selected).
Owing to the popularity of our silver service option, we've added an extra sitting with the trip on board the saloon taking place before your meal.
The full details of the available journeys are:
Standard service: Board at Norchard at 18:00, with your meal served from approximately 18:30, returning to Norchard at either 20:10, 21:00 or 21:40 (depending on how long you wish to stay on board).
Silver Service (18:00 departure): Board at Norchard at 18:00, with your meal served from approximately 18:30, returning to Norchard at 20:10 where you will then board the First Class Inpection Saloon for a return trip to Parkend, returning at 21:00.
Silvert Service (18:40 departure): Board the First Class Inspection Saloon at Norchard at 18:40 for a return trip to Parkend, returning at 19:30, where you will then transfer over to the main coaches. Your meal will then be served from approximately 20:00, and you will return to Norchard to complete your journey at 21:40.
This event is pre-book only, and bookings will close four days before the event.
